Located in Northeastern Oklahoma's Green Country , Monkey Island at Grand Lake is a one of the many places that are a must to visit. Grand Lake Horses are located at the Royal Horse Ranch at the immediatly on your right after entering Monkey Island. Our ranch is the newest, full service, open to the public horse stable in the Grand Lake area. We offer Stall Boarding, Pasture Boarding, and a Summer Camp for Girls. Trail Rides are a favorite for many. Our facilities include a "Horse Motel", Indoor & Outdoor Lighted Riding Arenas. English & Western Style Riding Lessons are offered. We are an Operating Horse Ranch so as you might expect Horse Sales & Leasing and more. Hay Rides are a Fun Time for Groups

Monkey Island offers lots of entertainment ranging from a 50's style night club to live entertainment year round. If you're lucky enough, you might even catch one of Monkey Island's spirited celebrations. The Island is easy to reach. By land, it's a short drive off I-44. Small planes and jets from Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Wichita, Joplin, Dallas, Kansas City and Little Rock land at the Monkey Island Airport or the Grand Lake Regional Airport. Bottom line is that Monkey Island OK is a great place to have fun of all kinds at Grand Lake.
Monkey Island and the West side of Grand Lake is where to go if you want diversity. There is plenty of appeal for its' setting as well as home to some great fishing, nightlife and shopping. Nature lovers can enjoy horseback riding on Monkey Island or walk the Bernice State Park's nature trails... or, cruise miles of back roads, on foot or bicycle motor vehicle. Condos, cabins and RV parks offer a variety of accommodations. There are fantastic private homes, condominiums and golf courses. You'll find several marinas that will rent the perfect lake transportation, help you stock your cooler, and send you off for all the fun you can handle.

Trail Rides
Six day. Wednesday through Monday
(closed Tuesday) 10:00 Am 'til 5:00 Pm
Year 'Round
$30.00 Per Person Per One Hour Trail Ride
$20.00 Per Person Per 1/2 Hour Trail Ride
Hour rides are at 10:00 AM, 11:30 AM,
1:00 PM, 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM
½ hour rides are at 11:00 AM,
12:30 PM, 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM
Rules:
All rides are guided
Riders under 10 must have a parent or guardian on ride.
Children must be big enough to sit on a horse or pony by themselves, NO double riding.
Minimum two to a maximum ten riders per trail ride.
No smoking or drinking on horseback.

Year 'Round
By Reservation Only!
$100.00 for a One Hour Hay Ride.
Hay wagons are tractor pulled.
