Great things are happening on Monkey Island.
There is a new 12,000 square foot Clubhouse and restaurant being built at the Shangri-la golf course and a planned 140 room hotel and convention center even better than the on the one that came to national prominance in the 70's and 80's. In addition there is a new marina located by the airport called "The Landing" complete with a first class restaurant and ship store. The Tera Miranda Marina has new ownership and is remodeling and adding cabins and the Quarterdeck Restaurant is better than ever. Next to it are new townhouse apartments for lease at The Villas.
Monkey Island has lots to offer. The Royal Horse Ranch has trail riding, hayrides and a riding school for girls 12 to 14 years old. In additon to the restaurants mentioned above there is The Road Hog Saloon at the entrance to Monkey Island, and on the Island the Roadhouse Restaurant, The Shebang, Anna Bananas, Ozzies and Island Joe's at the Shangri-la Marina.
There is also Live Entertainment to be found around on the island. Some of it might be the islanders themselves.
Then there is Big Shots for a party and dancing the night away or be a star at Kareoke. There's also special events through out the year with the Island's unique brand of fun!
